  The UNBC RODEO CLUB was formed in 1997 by four people with a common interest in horses, country music and the western lifestyle. Thanks to these earliest members, it was a success, thus, deciding to continue the club. With over 20 paid members last year, the club managed to promote rodeo life both at UNBC and within Northern B.C. Through our dedicated sponsors and members, the Rodeo Club has proved to be a small, exciting local group, who strives to learn more about rodeos, horses and the western lifestyle and have a fun time.

  The UNBC Rodeo Club always welcomes new members, encourage their thoughts and ensure their membership is a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. The club is open to people of all knowledge and experience levels, from rodeo participants (barrel racers, bull riders, team ropers, etc...) to those who have never been on a horse. The majority of our members are students attending the University of Northern British Columbia, however, anyone is invited to join. If you have an interest in horses, rodeos or the western lifestyle and are looking for a great time or just for general interest, we gladly welcome your interest and membership. There is an annual membership fee which entitles you to free events and discounts on workshops, clinics, trail rides, sleigh rides, dance lessons and from our sponsors.
